Gill completed her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Scotland in 2013, along with a Health and Performance Science Degree prior to this. She has extensive experience treating jaw, face, and neck-related pain as well as and a wide range of other musculoskeletal conditions in Melbourne before moving up to the Sunshine Coast.
She shares our team’s passion for helping patients to recover from their jaw, orofacial, and neck dysfunction and has focused her career in this area to further her expertise. Gill’s philosophy is to empower her patients through education and self-help techniques so that they can actively manage their conditions.
As a lifelong learner who constantly strives to upgrade her skills, Gill has completed many postgraduate courses and stays up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practice. To further develop a multifaceted approach to patient care, Gill is completing a bachelor’s degree in Psychotherapy. To empower individuals across their lifespan, Gill believes it is important to treat them holistically by addressing the biopsychosocial factors that contribute to and perpetuate pain. Moreover, our health beliefs and behaviours play a vital role in our physical and mental longevity.
Gill is a trained DMA Clinical Pilates instructor and is a certified G:LAD clinician (a program researched and proven to be beneficial to knee osteoarthritis sufferers). She integrates strength and exercise into her musculoskeletal rehabilitation to enhance her patients’ functional ability and long-term recovery, improving their quality of life immensely. In her free time, Gill is very active and enjoys hiking, strength training, surfing and teaches sailing along the Sunshine Coast.
